Digital Rights Management and Security

Maintaining the integrity of your application and avoiding copyright infringement are just two of the many things 3G's server suite can do. In an age where databases are often hacked for malicious use, 3G has establish a database firewall, known as the Client Proxy Service, which keeps your data safe and out of reach. 3G also monitors global cyber threats and we make frequent updates to our code to protect you from the latest threats.

Why Reinvent?

3G has spent millions of dollars developing a "tool belt" of server and web libraries. Our approach not only saves money, but brings time-tested stability to your application. Don't risk reinvention!

3G Studios' can help you find new ways to make money from your application!

Our experience in application development will save you money and earn you more customers.

Authentication Server

3G’s Authentication Server technology provides digital rights management (DRM) and ensures that only authorized applications and clients are able to access your software. For example, the Authentication Server does the following:

  • Verifies a user's identity and location at login
  • Verifies that a client is using an unaltered version of the software
  • Verifies the credentials of a "fan" or social sites requesting user statistics
  • Verifies the credentials of an advertiser seeking to modify its advertising portfolio

Client Proxy Service

3G’s Client Proxy Service technology allows remote clients to read and write application-specific data in the User Database. The Client Proxy Service’s primary responsibility is to allow authorized clients to access user data, while prohibiting access to clients without authorization. CPS also allows applications and games to seamlessly syncronize and subscribe to data in the user database. With this functionality, it's easy for an application or game to store and retrieve proprietary data associated with a user or group.

Can't I just use my webserver to share user data?

A lot of applications and games communicate between client and server using web services. Many developers do it to get things up and running quickly, however, even with encryption and certificates (unused in most clients), the communication protocol is trivial for hackers to analyze and simulate. If any sensitive transactions occur, say for money or property, the damages can add up quickly. The recent rash of online services getting hacked are a warning to everyone who uses open protocols to alter database data. Protect your data and your users by using 3G's services.
